St. Michael’s Hospital is a fully affiliated teaching and research hospital serving Toronto’s urban communities and beyond. St. Michael’s is a level 1 trauma centre and provincial hub for neurosurgery, complex cardiac and cardiovascular care and more, and home to one of the largest MS Clinics in North America. St. Michael’s is one of three main sites of Unity Health Toronto, a Catholic health care organisation accredited with exemplary standing by Accreditation Canada. Unity Health’s services span the City of Toronto and range from primary care to highly specialized care for complex medical cases, post-acute care, rehabilitation, palliative and long-term care. We are one of only two health centres in Canada verified as a Level 1 Trauma Centre by the American College of Surgeons. This means that trauma patients at St. Michael’s, who come from across Ontario either by ground or air transport, receive high quality care from the time they arrive in the Emergency Department right through to rehabilitation.

Emergency
Emergency is located at the corner of Victoria and Shuter Streets and one block east and north of Queen and Yonge. Please note that you cannot access Emergency if you enter the hospital from our Queen St. entrance. Please go directly to Emergency.
Parking
- The parking lot is located at 209 Victoria St. on the west side of the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute. View parking rates.
- There are also Green P lots across from the hospital’s Queen St. entrance and behind Metropolitan United Church on the east side of Bond St.
- You can also park at the Eaton Centre, located one block west on Yonge St. at Shuter St.

Keeping Our Site Clean
St. Michael’s is located in the heart of downtown Toronto, just steps from some of the city’s most vibrant residential and commercial streets. Whether you’re visiting the site to work, learn, receive care or visit a loved one, it’s important that we treat the site and community with kindness and respect. One way to do this is by keeping the neighbourhood clean. Please be mindful of your garbage and dispose of the following items properly:
- Cigarette butts go in cigarette butt disposals on City of Toronto garbage cans
- Masks and gloves go in garbage bins
- Pop cans go in recycling bins
- Organic waste should be placed in compost bins
